About Us
Leonberger Club of America Member Kennel

We are a small family kennel and just had our first litter. We chose a Leonberger after thorough research on which dog would fit into our lifestyle best. I had always wanted a big hairy dog, but I needed a dog that had imposing protective qualities. I didn't want a dog that would attack; just have a presence that would make you think twice about entering our property without permission. The Leonberger turned out to be all that and much more. We couldn't have gotten a better dog that is totally devoted to her family. Loyal is an understatement.

Our female comes from a well known kennel in Sweden called "Lejonland". Her mother is Sjö Björnens Bianco-Molly (sister to 1998 & 2000 world champion Sjö Björnens Bagheera) and her father is Remröd's Moya Accuta Bronze (brother to 2003 world champion Remröd's Moya Magnifica). Both come from well known kennels that breed very nice Leonbergers.

We thought long and hard about breeding our female, Lejonlands Yanice (Lea), and came to the decision that she's an excellent representative of the breed and decided to breed her after she passed a BACL and all her health requirements set forth by the breed club. You can see her test results at Orthopedic Foundation for Animals (OFA) and she tested normal for Von Willebrand's disease.

The stud we used for our first litter is Namupalan Du Son On Vegas, who is owned by Satu Korkeakallio of Namupalan Kennel, in Finland. He has excellent health, conformation and temperament and he's a good complement to our female. We are very excited about this match and hopefully the puppies will grow into strong, healthy dogs with great temperaments just like their parents. They are being raised and socialized in a loving home environment and we have recruited neighborhood kids to help with this process. They can't wait to help!
